Origins
The Taifu Shoi is a karate-do style developed in Puerto Rico that combines the Korean Tae Kwon Do, the Chinese Kung Fu and the Japanese Shotokan. During the 1970s, José A. Pabon created the Taifu-Shoi and uses as a logo in the uniforms a red circle with black edges, a white scorpion in the middle and leaves on the sides. Most of the instructors and freestyle organizations that have been successful are or have been Taifu-Shoi students.
